The parish of St Francis Xavier Corio, operating as Corio Lara Catholic Parish, was created from the parish of St Thomas Aquinas Norlane in 1976, and consists of the territory within the following boundaries:
Southern boundaries. From the coast, west along St Georges Road, Cox Road, Monastery Court, and Valleyside Drive, to the intersection of Valleyside Drive and Cowies Creek.
Western boundaries. North along Cowies Creek, from the intersection of Cowies Creek with Valleyside Drive to the intersection of Cowies Creek with Anakie Road. North along Anakie Road and Geelong-Ballan Road, then west along Stacey’s Road, then north along Bacchus Marsh Road to Little River.
Northern boundaries. East along Little River, from the intersection of Little River with Bacchus Marsh Road to the intersection of Little River with Kirks Bridge Road.
Eastern boundaries. West along Kirks Bridge Road, from the intersection of Little River and Kirks Bridge Road to Little River – Ripley Road. South along Little River – Ripley Road and Farrars Road, then east along Peak School Road, south-west along Old Melbourne Road, then east along Beach Road to the coast.
Neighbouring parishes. To the north is the parish of Bacchus Marsh. To the east is the parish of Werribee. To the west is the parish of Bannockburn-Meredith-Anakie. To the south is the parish of Norlane.
