At the heart of catechesis we find the Person of Jesus of Nazareth who suffered and died for us and who now, after rising, is living with us forever. Catechesis aims at putting people in communion with Jesus Christ: only he can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity.
Throughout his public ministry, the Lord Jesus regularly spent time teaching and forming his disciples. Formation in faith is called catechesis. The Catechism of the Catholic Church identifies four pillars of catechesis: Doctrine, Worship and the Sacraments, the Moral Life, and Prayer. Corio Lara Parish strives to offer our parishioners regular opportunities to deepen their formation in faith. Don’t worry, though – if you are from outside the parish, you are still most welcome!

These courses will be attended by our RCIA candiates, but are open to all parishioners as opportunities for ongoing faith formation. No registration required; simply turn up. Consider bringing a plate of food to share.
